Green Gate Health Consultancy Company in coordination with the Ministry of Health, Federal Government of Nigeria, conducted a training for Plastic Surgeons from Nigeria. The purpose of this training was to certify those who attended  to perform cryoshape treatment to reduce the effects of hypertrophic scarring and keloids.  Following the training, these surgeons could perform this innovative treatment technique and thereby contribute to the research on treatment of hypertrophic scarring and keloids.   Past research has shown that the various methods for treating these problems have been unsuccessful, including various types of cryosurgery.  For this reason, Professor Har Shai from Israel developed and patented a cryoprobe for use in cryoshape treatment of keloids that has met with a relatively high degree of success.  The training was conducted by Professor Har-Shai, from the Unit of Plastic Surgery, Carmel medical Center, The Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine, Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel.  

The instrument that he presented to the surgeons was a novel intralesional cryoneedle (CryoShape, FDA and CE approved, Etgar Group International Ltd, Kfar Saba).
